Yes, someone else can sign for your order. Most signature options offered by courier companies do not require the recipient listed on the parcel to personally sign for it. At Party Balloons, most orders are shipped without a signature required by default.
For more details, please refer to our article: “Do I Need to Sign for My Package? I Want to Sign for My Package.”
1. No Signature Required (NSR):
The courier will leave your package without requiring a signature. No one needs to be present.
Note: This option may not be available for all orders or destinations.
2. Indirect Signature Required (ISR):
The courier may complete the delivery by:
A. Obtaining a signature from someone at the delivery address.
B. Getting a signature from a neighbor, building manager, or someone at a nearby address.
C. Where permitted, releasing the package without anyone present, with your prior authorization.
3. Direct Signature Required (DSR):
A signature is required from someone at the delivery address.
If no one is available, the courier will reattempt delivery on another day.
4. Adult Signature Required (ASR):
A person of legal age in the destination country must sign for the package.
A government-issued photo ID may be required.
For deliveries in Canada, the recipient must be at least 19 years old and present valid government-issued photo identification.
